[Verse 1]
D
Okay I'm home
It was an okay show
A
None of my friends really wanted to go
G
I went alone
Didn't mind it, though

You know me, I got an eye for those
D
I go hard if I go at all
A
I'm sad but it's not your fault
G
It's just me, I got a tender heart
D
I come together and I fall apart
G
But hey, everybody's got something
A
Everybody's got something
G
Everybody's got something
A
Everybody does

[Chorus]
D
Oh fuck! I'm crying at the Wawa again
A G
What'd you expect? What do you want from me?
D
I'm crying at the Wawa again
A G
What did you expect? What do you want?

D
The cashier is staring at me
A
I think that he wants me to leave
G
I can't believe I'm doing this

Right next to the milkshake machine
D
You're buying milk, you're buying cheese
A
There must be something wrong with me
G
I'll make a mess, I'll make a scene
D
But everybody, please believe I'm fine

[Verse]
D
You wanna go?
A
You know me, I don't mind it, no
G
I sleep alone

I don't miss you though

Well, maybe in a different song
D
It's all right, now that money's tight
A
I can't talk, I've got a show tonight
G
And hey, ain't that what I wrote it for?
D
And surprise! What, now you wanna see me more?
G
I guess everybody's got something
A
Everybody's got something
G
Everybody's got something
A
Everybody does

[Chorus]
D
And mine is crying at the Wawa again
A G
What'd you expect? What do you want from me?
D
I'm crying at the Wawa again
A G
What did you expect? What do you want?
D
The cashier is staring at me
A
I think that he wants me to leave
G
I can't believe I'm doing this

Right next to the milkshake machine
D
You're buying milk, you're buying cheese
A
There must be something wrong with me
G
I'll make a mess, I'll make a scene
D
But everybody will believe I'm fine

A G
D
And everybody will believe I'm fine.

[Spoken words]
D
Why would anyone believe that? You're not fine!
A
If you were, you wouldn't be crying in line at
G
the greater Philadelphia area's finest convenience store

What are people supposed to think you're crying for?
D
Best case scenario, people believe you're
A
crying because the dispenser is out of pumpkin coffee
G
I mean, think about that. That's the best case scenario, crying over coffee
D
But there's some real shit going on!
A
And if the people in this Wawa knew how much strength
G
it took for you to even get out of bed, Let alone into a car, Let alone make it here?
They would applaud you for being
D
The hero that you are
A
You're feeling feelings, and that's real
G
And maybe you're feeling judged by these soft-pretzel eaters
But sometimes you gotta cry in public,
D
Even if it makes a bunch of
A
people in a Wawa REALLY uncomfortable
G
So

[Verse]
D
To all the girls and all the boys
A
That feel like they're on the island of misfit toys
G
Cry at home! Cry at school!
Crying's not just okay, crying's cool!
D
Life is hard, Nobody knows me
A
Go to the Wawa, cry into your hoagie!
G
Cry into your slurpee or the Wawa equivalent
Be happy, be sad, just don't be ambivalent!

[Bridge]
D
I don't know why I'm sad
A
I don't know why I'm sad
G
I don't know why I'm so sad
Why I'm so sad, Why I'm so sad

D
I don't know why I'm sad
A
I don't know why I'm sad
G
I don't know why I'm so sad
Why I'm so sad, Why I'm so sad

D
I don't know why I'm sad
(I don't know why I'm so sad)
A
I don't know why I'm sad
(Don't ask me why I'm so sad)
G
I don't know why I'm so sad
(If I knew why I was sad)
Why I'm so sad, Why I'm so sad
(Then I might not be so sad)

[Chorus]
D
I'm crying at the Wawa again
A G
What did you expect? What do you want from me?
D
I'm crying at the Wawa again
A A
What did you expect? What do you want?

D
The cashier is staring at me
A
I think that he wants me to leave
G
I can't believe I'm doing this again
D
The cashier is staring at me
A
I think that he wants me to leave
G
I can't believe I'm doing this again
D
What do you want?
