Austra es un trío originario de Canada que sirve como vehiculo para la imaginacion de Katie Stelmanis, una cantante con entrenamiento vocal operistico y tendencias a usar composiciones electronicas. El trio conformado por Katie Stelmanis, Maya Postepski, Dorian Wolf editó su primer LP "Feel it break" en mayo de 2011.
Este grupo tomó prestado el nombre de la diosa de la luz de la mitología lituana para su Indie sintético de tinte oscuro y reminiscencias ochenteras.
