Biografía:
Aunque nació en California, Eitzel pasó sus años de formación en Okinawa, Taiwán, Reino Unido y Ohio, antes de regresar a la zona de la Bahía en 1981. Después de un breve paso con las bandas de los Cowboys "Supermercado" / "Teenage Life") y Los Skinnies Naked, que fundó American Music Club en San Francisco en 1983 con el guitarrista de Scott Alexander, el baterista Greg Bonnell y bajo jugador Brad Johnson.
