Biografía:
American Football fue una banda de indie rock formada en Urbana, Ilinois y activa desde 1997 (bajo el nombre The One Up Downstairs) hasta el año 2000. La última alineación de la banda estaba conformada por el guitarrista/bajista y vocalista Mike Kinsella (anteriormente de Cap'n Jazz, Joan of Arc y Owen), el baterista Steve Lamos (alguna vez integrante de The Firebird Band) y posteriormente, Steve Holmes.
