Biografía:
Alasdair Roberts é um músico escocês. Tendo editado um conjunto de álbuns sob o nome de Appendix Out, apartir de 2001, no álbum The Night is Advancing, passou a assinar com o próprio nome.
A música que toca é enraizada na tradição - seja o folclore, seja um certo cariz religioso nas suas letras - mas composta para os dias de hoje, com a vida de hoje dentro das suas canções. Tratam-se de canções tradicionais contemporâneas.
Roberts nasceu em Swabia, na Alemanha, de mãe alemã e pai escocês.
