Biografía:
A Silver Mt. Zion es una banda canadiense de post-rock formada en 1999 por los músicos de Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau y Thierry Amar. Dependiendo del momento, la banda también ha usado otras denominaciones: The (o Thee) Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band (with Choir), o Thee Silver Mountain Reveries.
Según una entrevista concedida a la emisora VPRO holandesa, originalmente el proyecto fue concebido para que Efrim Menuck aprendiese a componer bandas sonoras
