Biografía:
A norte-americana Julien Rose Baker, nascida em 29 de setembro de 1995 em Memphis, Tennessee, começou a se integrar à cena da música com sua banda de faculdade, chamada Forrister. Paralelamente, ela começou a escrever suas proprias canções.
Em 2014, Julien Baker lançou um EP pelo site Bandcamp. Seu álbum de estreia, 'Sprained Ankle', saiu em 2015, chamando atenção de sites especializados em música pop, como Stereogum, Billboard e Pitchfork.
