Biografía:
Hijo del fundador de la agencia de modelos Elite Model Management John Casablancas y de Jeanette Christjansen, una modelo danesa que fue Miss Dinamarca en 1965. Saltó a la fama por ser el vocalista de the Strokes.
El primer miembro de la banda que Casablancas conoció fue Nikolai Fraiture ya que ambos asistían al mismo jardín de infancia. Cuando tenia 14 años, Casablancas fue descubierto bebiendo después de la escuela, en consecuencia lo obligaron a tomar un curso de rehabilitacion llamado Phoenix House.
