Banda performatica de Oakland, Califórnia. Faun Fables é um conceito e um veículo de Dawn McCarthy, que criou o material original durante uma viagem depois de deixar a cena musical de Nova York em 1997.
Faun Fables abrange tanto composições do século 20 por outros compositores quanto canções folclóricas tradicionais. A música do primeiro álbum foi inteiramente concebida por McCarthy, assim como todas as letras e a maioria das músicas do segundo disco "Mother Twilight" .
