'''Joan Osborne''' es una cantante estadounidense nacida el 8 de julio de 1962.
Se trasladó a Nueva York a finales de los 80, donde creó su propia discográfica, Womanly Hips. Con ella lanzó varias grabaciones independientes antes de firmar un contrato con Mercury Records.
En 1995 publicó su disco Relish, que incluye su mayor éxito One of us, compuesta por Eric Bazilian.
Con esta canción, Osborne recibió una nominación a los premios Grammy de 1995.
