Biografía:
In Flames es una banda de death metal melódico de Suecia, fue una de las pioneras en la nueva escuela del conocido sonido Gotemburgo, el cual se diferencia de la vieja escuela por llevar su sonido a terrenos más melódicos, en un principio influenciado por la NWOBHM y más tarde añadiendo elementos de otros estilos o subgéneros, experimentando con su sonido.
Fue fundada por Jesper Strömblad en 1990 como un proyecto paralelo a la que fue su banda principal en aquel momento, Ceremonial Oath.
