Biografía:
La banda se formó en Raleigh, Carolina del Norte, en octubre de 2004 por el guitarrista Shawn Milke, el guitarrista Patrick Thompson, el vocalista Dennis Lee, y el bajista Steven Tomany; Alesana rápidamente escaló en la escena post hardcore de Raleigh. El 2005 firmo con el sello Tragic Hero Records.
En mayo de 2005, Alesana comenzó a trabajar en su primer EP. El disco Try This With Your Eyes Closed (Intenta esto con tus ojos cerrados) fue lanzado a mediados de junio de 2005.
