Biografía:
Chandeen foi formado em 1990 por Oliver Henkel e Harald Löwy na cidade de Frankfurt, Alemanha. A época era mais que adequada para uma mudança nos rumos da música pop naquele país após a revolução da “Neue Deutsche Welle”, que tomou conta de quase toda a década de 80.
A dupla optou pelo dark wave, e partiu à busca de músicos interessados em desafiar a ordem estabelecida naquele momento. As primeira aliadas foram as cantoras Aline Akbari, de descendência iraniana, e Antje Schulz.
