Biografía:
Booker T. Washington White nació en Houston, Mississippi en Noviembre de 1906 (o 1909) y pronto fue instruido por su padre en la lectura musical. Comenzó a trabajar desde que tenía 10 años en una serrería y poco después lo enviaron con su tío a una granja cerca de Grenada. Allí trabajó durante toda su juventud haciendo labores agrícolas pero sin olvidar su formación musical y practicar de vez en cuando con la guitarra.
