Entre 10 mil concorrentes que inicialmemte concorreram á edição de 2007 do Canadian Idol, Brian Melo chegou á final e a 11 de Setembro de 2007 foi anunciado o vencedor depois da maioria de 5 milhões de votos o terem escolhido como a próxima grande promessa da música Canadiana! O single "All I Ever Wanted" será o seu primeiro grande sucesso e estará no ar a partir do dia 13 de Setembro.
