Biografía:

Brainpool is a pop music group from Lund, Sweden. The band was most popular in the mid-1990s, mostly in Sweden, and never really made it abroad. [Verse]

B C# E B
I was born in a town and i had to get along
B C# F# B
i bought the right albums but i dug the wrong songs
B C# E B
i knew from the start that i had to get away
B C# F#
the streets were getting smaller each and every day

i was bored in a town and i couldn't get along
i really tried to manage but i wasn't that strong
i got on a train that could take me anywhere
at least somewhere that just ain't here

[Chorus]

B G#m E B
But i left Victoria in Smallville (in Smallville)
B G#m E E
i left Victoria in Smallville

[Verse]

I was forced to take a job that i really couldn't stand
but every second week i got some money in my hand
i moved into a flat with Billy and his girl
he was unemployed and she was working for a better world
we started up a band called Flat #8
and wrote six songs about jealousy and hate

B G#m E B
But i left Victoria in Smallville (in Smallville)
B G#m E E
i left Victoria in Smallville

[Bridge]

Ebm G#m E
And then when winter came i moved out
F# Ebm
and all i thought about was you
G#m E
the way we used to steal cigarettes
F#
holding hands, making love, making bets

[Verse]

I was faced with a choice at a difficult stage
should i play the guitar or should i act my age
so please don't push me cause i'm close to the edge
i'm trying all the time not to lose my head

B G#m E E
i left Victoria in Smallville
i left Victoria in Smallville
and now it all seems so stupid
and now it all seems so stupid

[Chorus]

B G#m E B
But i left Victoria in Smallville (in Smallville)
B G#m E E
i left Victoria in Smallville

B G#m E B
But i left Victoria in Smallville (in Smallville)
B G#m E E
i left Victoria in Smallville
