Box Car Racer es una banda que fue formada mientras Blink 182 se tomaba un descanso.
Sus integrantes fueron Tom Delonge, Travis Barker, Davis Kennedy y Anthony Celestino.
El grupo Box Car Racer comenzó a grabar a finales del 2001 con el nombre de "The Kill". La letra de las canciones fueron escritas por Tom DeLonge, tras ser operado de una hernia el año anterior, mientras que el material lo compusieron Tom DeLonge y Travis Barker.
