Bombadil

Escalators

by Bombadil
Bombadil

Biografía:

Bombadil is a contemporary folk-pop band from North Carolina.

The members of Bombadil have been playing music together since 2006. The group is composed of four mild-manner gentlemen who agree on everything except how to make music. Bombadil went into suspended animation in 2009 after an injury forced the band to stop touring indefinitely. In 2011, the band reformed, and has been active ever since. The sound is steeped in folk and possesses an almost classical air in its arrangements.

Whatever happened to spontaneity

A D
Let's see how far we can walk with our eyes closed

Each step raises the bar of uncertainty

Let's take the escalator up
G
We've been living in a cup that's china-made

I drank the kool aid

I paid too much for

And more is just a bore
G
Of plastic happiness
A
Let's get rid of the rest of this
D
Twist yourself to hear the truth
G
Your laundry list is so uncouth
D
Of things been checked off

Forgotten or left off
G
And all the lights you never turned off
D G
And i'm the man who pays
A D G
That is my life my hours my days
A D
That is my life my hours my days

Of the apocalypse
G
And its making me sick and i cannot predict
D
The ending of my favorite show

D
Like Captain Cook on the Indian Ocean

Eaten alive and great history lies in you and I
