Biografía:
Blu Cantrell nació en Providence, Rhode Island, en 1976. Su madre era cantante de jazz y Cantrell pronto decidió que quería seguir sus pasos. En el 2000, consiguió trabajo en un estudio haciendo coros para artistas de la talla de Puff Daddy y Aaron Hall. Su álbum de debut, "So Blu", un ejercicio cargado de soul de urban R&B, se publicó en 2001 y poco después subió al Top Ten. El siguiente, "Bittersweet" (2003) no fue ningún éxito comercial pero le valió a la cantante una nominación a los premios Grammy por mejor álbum de R&B.
