Biografía:
Bert (Bertolt) Brecht, nacido Eugen Berthold Friedrich Brecht (Augsburgo, 10 de febrero de 1898 – Berlín, 14 de agosto de 1956), dramaturgo y poeta alemán, uno de los más influyentes del siglo XX, creador del llamado Teatro épico.
En 1928 alcanzó el mayor éxito teatral de la República de Weimar con La ópera de cuatro cuartos, con música de Kurt Weill.
Como casi todos los intelectuales alemanes exiliados a causa de los nazis, mostró su apoyo por la Segunda República Española.
