Bass Drum of Death es una banda de garage rock estadounidense de Oxford, Mississippi. John Barrett formó Bass Drum of Death, grabando sus propios álbumes. Hasta el año 2008, actuó como un hombre-orquesta, tocando bajo, batería y guitarra. Actualmente, la banda de gira consta de dos guitarras y batería. El LP debut, GB City, fue lanzado el 12 de abril de 2011 por Fat Possum Records. BDOD actúo en directo en Fuel TV junto a MellowHype. Además, el grupo lanzó el single High School Roaches por Baby Don't Records en 2010.
