Assemblage 23 es un grupo de futurepop/synthpop/EBM de Estados Unidos, localizado actualmente en Seattle. Su único miembro es Tom Shear.
Assemblage 23 nació oficialmente en 1988. El género de música industrial/dance impresionó profundamente a Shear y le convenció de que había encontrado la clase de sonido que quería para su música. A pesar de ello, el proyecto era un hobby más de Shear a ese punto; hasta que en 1998 Assemblage 23 logró suficiente apoyo como para atraer la atención de las discográficas.
