Biografía:
Amel Larrieux (Nacida el 8 de Marzo de 1973, en Manhattan, NYC, USA), es una cantante de R&B, Soul, además de compositora y tecladista. Nacida y criada en New York's Greenwich Village, dentro de un ambiente muy artístico y rodeada de talentosos artistas. Muchas de sus influencias abarcan tanto el R&B como el Soul, Jazz, Folk, Hip-hop y Gospel. Su nombre Amel significa esperanza en árabe.
Larrieux comenzó su carrera musical en 1995 como parte del dúo R&B Groove Theory, junto a Bryce Wilson.
