Biografía:

Alan Menken, compositor estadounidense nacido en Nueva York, es en buena parte responsable del renacer de las películas animadas de Disney a partir de La Sirenita, y por esta labor recibiría un buen número de Oscars. En 1986, su trabajo en La Pequeña Tienda De Los Horrores ya le había supuesto una primera nominación a los premios de la Academia en el apartado de canción. En 1989 su magnífica banda sonora para La Sirenita -2 Globos de oro y 2 grammys- conseguiría dos Óscars (música y canción)
