Biografía:
El Reverendo Albert Greene, popularmente conocido como Al Green, nació el 13 de abril de 1946 en la localidad de Forrest City, en el estado de Arkansas.
Es un cantante de Soul y Gospel americano que consiguió una gran popularidad en los principios y la mitad de los años 70.
Interpretó Gospel en el seno del grupo Greene Brothers.
Entre los años 1964 y 1967 perteneció al grupo The Creations.
Más tarde cantó con su hermano Robert Green y con Lee Virgins en el proyecto Soul Mates, de 1967 a 1968. En 1980 regresó al mundo del Gospel.
