Agalloch es una banda estadounidense de folk/doom/black metal formada en 1995 en Portland, Oregón. Su sonido es desbordadamente depresivo y melancólico y sus letras suelen hablar sobre la naturaleza, la soledad, la tristeza y el invierno.
El grupo se inicia como producto de la creación de John Haughn y Shane Breyer. A comienzos de 1996 el dúo comienza a producir canciones y durante el verano Don Anderson ingresa a la banda para llevar a la banda hacia un sonido más refinado.
