Biografía:
El fantasma de la ópera fue inspirado por otra versión musical de la misma historia adaptada por Ken Hill, la cual Andrew Lloyd Webber vio en el teatro Theatre Royal Stratford East en Londres en 1984. La música de la versión de Webber fue escrita especialmente para la voz de su esposa durante aquella época, la cantante Sarah Brightman. El grupo original de artistas incluía Andrew Lloyd Webber (quien escribió la música y el guión), Richard Stilgoe (guión)
