Biografía:
Adelmo Fornaciari nació en Roncocesi di Reggio Emilia (Italia), el 25 de septiembre de 1955 pero se trasladó a Forte dei Marmi en Toscana, donde formó sus primeros grupos de rhythm y blues usando el nombre de Zucchero que le había puesto uno de sus maestros. Hijo de campesinos, todavía hoy está muy ligado a su tierra aunque vive en Toscana. Precisamente, es en Reggio Emilia donde empieza a tocar la guitarra.
Las primeras nociones se las enseña un estudiante americano de color, que frecuenta la facultad de veterinaria de Bolonia.
