Biografía:
Yazoo (conocidos como Yaz en los Estados Unidos) fue un dúo de synthpop de Basildon, Inglaterra, cuya carrera tuvo una corta duración pero un gran éxito comercial al principio de los '80.
El grupo se formó en 1981, utilizando un apodo que Alison Moyet, veterana de numerosas bandas de punk y rock del sudeste de Essex, Inglaterra, había extraído de las etiquetas de viejos álbumes de blues: 'Yazoo'. La otra mitad del dúo, Vince Clarke, había sido fundador y principal compositor de Depeche Mode
