hello!! there's a great version of this song already on here for playing along with the studio version, but
it's a little bit more difficult so i decided to tab one from this video of the song acoustic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHl8T7V3pX8

in the video he does some hammer-ons, you could play around with it a bit and figure out however you like it!

thanks :)

NO CAPO

C Am G
I wash my face with soapy water
F
Disguise the tears cause you're somebody's daughter
C G
And they don't ever wanna see you cry
C Am G
Anxiety's grip is always waiting to take me
F
It sits in my stomach, I feel it starting to shake me
C G
It's hard to live when you're scared to death

Am G
If I'm gonna sit and wait then I might as well
F
Ask for the hand of the Devil himself
C G
I thought I heard her laugh but it was hard to tell
Am G
So look into my eyes and see how close I am to crack
F
But they just say hello and never look back
C G
I thought I heard them talk but it was hard to catch

C Am G
Superstition has me out of control
F
Touch my head and bless my soul
C G
I pray it ain't a feeling, but my soul is just old
C Am G
Cause nothing heals misery's fist
F
No witch's pill, no lover's kiss
C G
If life is easy then what is this?

Am
Light a smoke, put it out

Search for rooms, out of town
G
Start again, cut your hair
F
You've wondered love, but it's hard to care
C G
(I'll care, I'll try to care)
Am
Choose a religion, choose a goddamn sport
G
Go find something to eradicate these thoughts
F
You might not waste time, and keep good health
C G
But that's not it, there's something else
