Biografía:
El nombre viene de una línea de la novela sadomasoquista The story of O(version en inglés de Histoire d' o) de Pauline Réage: "her eyes were like stars, trembling blue stars". Empezó como un proyecto de Bob Wratten, cantante y compositor de letras en The Field Mice y Northern Picture Library, cuando termina su relacion con Annemari Davies(compañera en los mencionados grupos).
El disco Her Handwriting cuyo título es una cita de Part Company de The Go Betweens: "that's her handwriting, that's the way she writes.
