1. Dark Corner
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
C#m
Wrote this when I was 39
A
Still in my head but out of mind
E G#
But there is something inside I cant resolve
C#m
A portrait of a perfect life
A
Two lovely kids, a loving wife
E G#
A servant to the things I cant control
A E
In this heart there is a dark corner
B G#m
With a space for everyone
A E
I give it all and try until my river is dry
B A E
But i feel like less when everyone moves on
C#m
I wonder if Ive spent my days
A
Trapped in an adolescent cage
E G#
Just pondering the future of us all?
C#m
Stated opinion, given back
A
The best that I can, stay on track
E
For most of it I cant remember
G#
Where we took the fall?
A E
In this heart there is a dark corner
B G#m
With a space for everyone
A E
I give it all and try until my river is dry
B A E
But I feel like less when everyone moves on
B A E
Yes I feel like less when everyone moves on

2. Devonshire and Crown
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed By: JimBlenderBR

- Verse 1:

D
I picture your face everyday of my life
G
And struggle to come up with lyrics
D A
But lately it's honesty that keeps me around
D
A pint of their best and a seat with a view
G
This corner looks all too familiar
D
I just wanna tell you "I love you, I'm safe
A G
on "Devonshire and Crown"

- Chorus:

Bm
Who knows which letter just might be the last
G
This song will be done by the end of this glass
D A
Hey brown eyes, I hope you are sleeping and dreaming of clouds

Bm
Here comes another three-dollar cliché
G
I nod to the barman and he does the same
D Em
And again and again and again and again I am down
G A
But so prown

- Verse 2:

D
It's summer where you are, it's winter down here
G
You're sleeping, I'm already boozing
D
All the cool kids are speaking their minds
A
But I cannot hear
D
'Cause people are sounding like white noise these days
G
They fancy themselves as a critic
D A G
But I think of you and it takes me away to a perfect place

- Chorus:

Bm
Who knows which letter just might be the last
G
This song will be done by the end of this glass
D A
Hey brown eyes, I hope you are sleeping and dreaming of clouds

Bm
Here comes another three-dollar cliché
G
I nod to the barman and he does the same
D Em
And again and again and again and again I am down
G A D
But so prown

- Verse 1:

A
Here we go again to the point
D
Where it becomes a theme
E
Like “we hate each other, can’t live without you”
D A
But in a rhyming scheme
A
I have this poison pen as an outlet
D
But you don’t have a way
E
To lay all the cards on the table
D A
So fold this hand and say

- Chorus:

D E A F#m
“There are many others who can treat me better than you could”
D E A D A
And I’m sure that given the chance that they would
D E A F#m
I am lying when I tell you that my head is doing fine
Bm E A
And I’m as sure as, sure as the San Mateo fog line

- Verse 2:

A
As I pass a sign that says no exit
D
I think of what you said
E
We’re stuck on this road looking for an answer
D A
That isn’t up ahead
A
We both know we are like division
D
Subtraction of ourselves
E D A
This could be our purgatory and life could be our hell

- Chorus:

D E A F#m
I never thought that you would tell me that I had to go
D E A D A
And I took all this for granted that I know
D E A F#m
