Biografía:
Theatre of Tragedy fue una banda que se formó en la ciudad de Stavanger , Noruega, en 1993. Es conocida por sus primeros trabajos, muy influyentes en el género del metal gótico, gracias a que perfeccionaron el contraste de voces guturales masculinas con voces soprano femeninas ocupado por primera vez por Paradise Lost en su album "Gothic", llegando a un nivel de equilibrio entre ambas. Fue pionera en el desarrollo del "Doom Gothic Metal", junto a otras bandas como Tristania, Paradise Lost , The Sins of Thy Beloved o The 3rd And The Mortal.
