The Stranglers

Always The Sun

by The Stranglers
The Stranglers

I Know this can be improved drastically but this is as basic as I can
put it.Please E-Mail with your improvements. Plus I'm not 100% sure
about the Chords but I,ve played it alongside the record and it's damn close.

[Intro] D G A G

D G
How many times have you woken up and prayed for the rain?
D G
How many times have you seen the papers apportion the blame?
A G A G
Who gets to say, who gets the work and who gets to play?
A G A
I was always told at school everybody should get the same

D G
How many times have you been told, if you don't ask you don't get?
D G
How many liars have taken your money, your mother said you shouldn't bet?
A G A E
And who has the fun, is it always the man with the gun?
G Bm A
Someone must have told him if you work too hard you can sweat

Bm D
There's always the sun
G Bm
There's always the sun
D Em G A
Always, always, always the sun

D G
How many times have the weathermen told you stories that made you laugh?
D
Y'know it's not unlike the politicians and the leaders when they do things
G
by half
A G A E
And who gets the job of pushing the knob?
G Bm A
That sort of responsibility you draw straws for, if you're mad e nough

Bm D
There's always the sun
G Bm
There's always the sun
D Em G A
Always, always, always the sun
Bm D
There's always the sun
G Bm
There's always the sun
D Em G A
Always, always, always the sun

Bm D
There's always the sun
G Bm
There's always the sun
D Em G A
Always, always, always the sun
