Biografía:
The Microphones fueron una banda con sede en Olympia, Washington, liderada por Phil Elvrum. Elvrum es el principal miembro de la banda, pero él ha colaborado también con muchos otros músicos en sus discos.
En 2004, Elvrum anunció que había cambiado el nombre de su banda a Mount Eerie. Sin embargo, a fines de 2006, se publicó un nuevo single titulado Two Songs by the Microphones. No está claro si hay planes para readoptar ese nombre.
