Biografía:
The Karelia era una banda escocesa formada por el actual cantante de Franz Ferdinand, Alex Kapranos, conocido en ese momento como Alex Huntley. The Karelia eran:
* Alex Huntley voz, guitarra, bouzouki y banjo,
* Glen Thomson bajo y percusión,
* Alan Wylie trompeta,
* Thom Falls batería.
Su único album, Divorce At High Noon, apareció en 1997 bajo Roadrunner Records. Fue producido por Bid of The Monochrome Set, mezclaba rock y trompetas de jazz con letras poco usuales.
