Biografía:
Halo Benders (The) son una banda formada en 1994 como proyecto paralelo de Calvin Johnson (Beat Happening) y Doug Martsch (Built to Spill). Su primer disco "God Don't Make No Junk" vió la luz en 1994. Le siguieron "Don't Tell Me Now" (1996) y "The Rebels Not In" (1998).
Los tres álbums fueron producidos por la influyente discográfica de Calvin Johnson: K Records (con base en Olympia).
Después de una pausa en los primeros años de los 2000 los Halo Benders se reunieron en marzo del 2007 con Doug Martsch
