Biografía:
The Gun Club es el proyecto intermitente de Jeffrey Lee Pierce, escritor y cantautor americano que murió en 1996 a raíz de las secuelas de su alcoholismo. Sus comienzos en la musica lo tuvieron como presidente del club de fans de Blondie, y apasionado redactor de fanzines. Su debut discográfico como cantante de The Gun Club se produce con el disco The Fire of Love, de 1981, con Jeffrey Lee Pierce a la voz y slide guitar. La placa los muestra como otra banda cow-punk, pero con efluvios blueseros e influidos por el fantasma de Jim Morrison.
