El cantante y compositor Blake Sennett se hizo conocido al escribir temas y tocar con la banda Indie Rock de Los Angeles, Rilo Kiley. Mientras que la banda se encontraba promoviendo su segundo album, The Execution of All Things, Jenny Lewis, a su vez, se encontraba grabando junto a The Postal Service.
