The Dickies es una banda de punk oriunda de California que emerge a fines de los años 70 en pleno estallido punk encabezando la escena californiana junto a bandas como Circle Jerks y The Germs. Si bien el sonido de los Dickies fue fuertemente influenciado por The Ramones, cabe destacar la originalidad y el carácter de parodia que presentan tanto sus letras como sus presentaciones en vivo.
