The Chordettes fueron uno de los grupos vocales de más larga vida, con raíces en el mainstream pop y en las armonías vocales de los 40 y principios de los 50. Aunque los arreglos para las cuatro jóvenes sonaban más a las Andrews Sisters que a doo wop, lograron, a diferencia de muchas de sus contemporáneas, adaptarse mejor a la era del rock.
