Biografía:
The 6ths es una banda que fue creada por Stephin Merritt, quien también hizo los primeros movimientos de The Magnetic Fields, The Gothic Archies y Future Bible Heroes.
Una historia dice que la banda fue concebida cuando Merritt, observando que no había ningún álbum tributo dedicado a él, decidió hacer uno él mismo. El concepto es que Merritt, escribe y toca canciones que son cantadas por otros artistas, diferentes en cada tema. Hasta el momento ha producido dos bien recibidos álbums y varias colaboraciones diferentes.
