Telekinesis es el proyecto unipersonal de indie pop/rock de Michael Benjamin Lerner.Es el que compone, decide, canta, toca la guitarra acústica si es necesario y la batería en casi todas las canciones.Michael Benjamin Lerner aparecio por primera vez en los créditos del estudio Two Sticks Audio en Seattle, propiedad de Jason McGerr (Death Cab For Cutie) y donde se ganaba el sustento como asistente. Allí grabó sus primeras canciones, que formaron parte del Toulouse Lautrec EP.
