Tavares fue un grupo musical estadounidense compuesto por cinco hermanos procedentes de Massachusetts - Ralph Viera Tavares (Ralph), Arthur Paul Tavares (Pooch), Antone Lee Tavares (Chubby), Feliciano Tavares (Butch) y Perry Lee Tavares (Tiny) -. Sus orígenes se basaron en una mezcla de canción doo-wop y la música tradicional de Cabo Verde, lugar al que había emigrado su familia desde los Estados Unidos, continuando después dentro de lo que sería el movimieto "disco".
