Biografía:
Tammi Terrell, nació el 29 de abril de 1945 en Filadelfia, y fue uno de los mayores exponentes del soul de Motown junto a su compañero de dúo Marvin Gaye. Su nombre real es Thomasina Montgomery.
Debutó a la edad de 13 años en un concurso local, y regularmente fue actuando en distintos clubs compartiendo escenario con Gary "U.S." Bonds y Patti LaBelle & the Bluebelles. En 1961, fue descubierta por Luther Dixon y firmó por la discográfica "Scepter".
