Steve Wariner

Biografía:

Steve Wariner (born Steven Noel Wariner, December 25, 1954, Noblesville, Indiana) is an American country music singer, guitarist and songwriter. He was one of the most popular artists during the 1980s, thanks to a string of No. 1 singles recorded for both RCA and MCA Records. After his popularity waned somewhat during the mid-1990s, he enjoyed a resurgence thanks to his 1998 hit "Holes in the Floor of Heaven."

[edit] Career
Wariner began performing as a youth in his father's band and in local clubs.

[Verse]
D
It's 2 a.m. and the phone is ringing
G
Guess you were sound asleep
D
But, I got something to say to you
A
Baby, it just won't keep
Bm A
All the times I didn't mean to hurt you
G
Thinkin' only of me
Bm F#m
Funny now that the tables have turned
Em A
And, I'm the one who's down no my knees

G D
Can I come over to night
G
I'm at the end of the line
D
When I knock on your door
G/F# G
Just let me in, one more time
G/F# Em
Whether it's wrong or right
A D
Can I come over to night

D
I'm wide awake and the rain is pourin'
G
Like the tears from my eyes
D
That night that I just walked out on you
A
I'm still wonderin' why
Bm A
Shoulda known I can't make it without you
G
Now, it's so easy to see
Bm F#m
That a man can really change his ways
Em A
Even when he's been as foolish as me

G D
Can I come over to night
G
I'm at the end of the line
D
When I knock on your door
G/F# G
Just let me in, one more time
G/F# Em
Whether it's wrong or right
A D
Can I come over to night

Bm Bm/A G
Give me the chance for one last one more time
Bm A
You've told me what was on your heart
Em A
Let me show you what's on mine

G D
Can I come over to night
G
I'm at the end of the line
D
When I knock on your door
G/F# G
Just let me in, one more time
G/F# Em
Whether it's wrong or right
A D
Can I come over to night
