Biografía:
State Champs é uma banda de pop-punk underground formada em 2010 em Albany, Nova York pelos integrantes Derek Discanio (vocal) e Tyler Szalkowski (guitarra). No mesmo ano lançaram o primeiro EP com cinco músicas, intitulado "State Champs", e no dia 1 de Janeiro do ano seguinte, o EP "Apparently, I'm Nothing" é lançado independentemente contendo as mesmas músicas do anterior.
No dia 19 de Abril de 2012 a banda assina com a gravadora Pure Noise Records, e em Setembro do mesmo ano, lançam o primeiro álbum digital, "Overslept".
