Biografía:
Sophie Michalitsianos nace en Inglaterra, crece entre Grecia y Australia y reside actualmente en Estados Unidos. Pianista y cellista de formación clásica, a los cinco años compone sus primeras. Más tarde ingresa al conservatorio de Sydney para estudiar composición contemporánea y orquestación, al tiempo que se abría camino con su cello en el mundo del rock.
Sparklehorse llama a Sophie la cual acababa de mudarse a USA, donde llegó con quinientos dólares y un cello, y se ganaba la vida cantando para anuncios de televisión.
