Selena Quintanilla Pérez (Lake Jackson, Texas, 16 de abril de 1971 – Corpus Christi, Texas, 31 de marzo de 1995), conocida artisticamente como Selena o La Reina del Tex-Mex, fue una cantante México-Estadounidense que se le considera una de las figuras más relevantes de ese género musical.
Inició su carrera musical a los 9 años al lado de sus hermanos Susette y AB Quintanilla, grabó su primer álbum a la edad de 14 años y su fama fue creciendo en los años 90's.
