Biografía:
Ryan nació en Huntington, Long Island, Nueva York. Fue sólo a los 14 años cuando formó su primera banda llamada Stage. Además de Ryan, los otros miembros de la banda eran Petr Anselmo, Greg Meyer y Justin Parker. Lanzaron un puñado de EPs, y en el año 2003 sacaron su álbum homónimo bajo Maverick Records. Aún estando en la escuela secundaria, la banda tocó en CBGB y Mercury Lounge. Cuando la banda abrió caminos, Justin Parker inició el proyecto conocido como Cortez The Killer, y Star se convirtió en el artista solista R.
